Thought provoking, exciting, refreshing and heartfelt are just some of the words that come to mind when one studies the art of Carrie Wachsmann.

Carrie first started drawing in elementary school and has continued ever since. Her career as a professional artist began in the early 1980’s.

While raising a family her brush and pen were active, entertaining her children and their friends, through pencil sketches, oil and watercolor, story telling, film animation, murals and sculpture.

A published author, Carrie writes and illustrates children’s stories, sketches and paints, and designs greeting cards. She writes and produces films.

Having spent her childhood years in Southern Manitoba, Carrie’s appreciation for the beauty of a white winter’s day is often reflected in her artwork. In the early 70’s she and her husband moved to beautiful British Columbia, Canada where she enjoys an endless source of inspiration for new art projects.

Carrie is an award-winning artist and writer.

She received an Abbotsford Arts Council Arty Award as Abbotsford's Outstanding Emerging Artist in 2009.

She has also received an Abbotsford Arts Council Arty Award as Abbotsford's Outstanding Literary Artist in 2016.
